Way Forward

2019 CONFERENCE
SEPT 22-24 / SCOTTSDALE

Way Forward will be a vibrant, joyful space to build community and deep relationships as 200+ donors, organizers, and thought leaders come together to collectively dream, and more importantly, strategize and align for maximum impact going into 2020.

The conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona – just outside of Phoenix. We'll be gathering at the beautiful Camelback Inn Resort & Spa.

Registration for Way Forward is limited to Way to Win members, qualified donors, and Way to Win grantees. This event is invite-only, and all registrations are subject to approval. If you are interested in attending Way Forward or would like to recommend a family member or colleague for an invitation, please email Leah Marsters (lmarsters@waytowin.us).

The 2020 electoral cycle is fully underway, and now is the precarious time when we will either set our country on a new track or march down an even more dangerous trajectory. The future is unknown, and it is in our hands. This time together will be an opportunity to share plans and strategies and gear up for the road ahead.

Our conference will take place in sunny Arizona, which is becoming recognized as a crucial battleground state. Arizona organizers have been on the frontlines of the immigration movement, fighting systemic racism and classism, and paving the way towards taking back our country. We will hear from many of them, in addition to organizers around the country who are building political power to win near term elections and transform our society for the next generation.

We are planning this year’s conference in such a way to make sure that attendees have the opportunity to build new relationships and walk away with a clear vision of their role in this political cycle.

Way Forward is proudly carbon balanced! All aspects of Way Forward fall within Way to Win's policies on environmental and social impact, and we work with partners to balance the energy, carbon, and water footprints of Way Forward.

Energy used at the conference comes only from renewable resources. We have offset 100% of unavoidable emissions associated with air/ground travel for all attendees, including staff, speakers, and guests, and with the printing and shipping of all materails. We commit to restoring water to critically dewatered rivers and streams equivalent to that used by and for our guests at the Camelback Inn.
